In the shape of a Lidded Chinese Ginger Jar/Urn, heavily influenced by Chinese design with gilt bronze mounts and base in the Chinese style. CLASSIC Oxblood or ‘Sange de Boeuf’ Pottery. Presenting a gorgeous pair of Chinese Famile verte and coral tall table lamps. Mid 20th century circa 1960-80. These are Chinese export in the Famile Verte pattern famous in Canton Region of China. Beautiful detail with Courtesan’s in landscape/garden scenes. Green, white, yellow and unusual purples. The top sections and the bases plinths are coral in color and we believe are a type of cinnabar. Each has a slightly different polished coral finial. Fully working and in very good condition with no chips or cracks. These are a very desirable and imposing pair of lamps ! Provenance: From a Quality Dallas Private Collection. Condition: Very Good. Gorgeous Italian table lamp designed and produced by fine Italian manufacturers in the 1930s. The lamp has a base made from a block of antique marble, ivory in colour. It has a square base, on which rests a marble cube, above which stands the actual stem. A chiselled and sinuous base then rests on a flower-like structure. Here, a marble vase seems to be born, which gradually enlarges. At the apex it has a frame of four very beautiful flowers and leaves. Above it narrows to form the hat of the lamp.
