About the Item
A rare and authentic Soviet Space Age lava lamp, produced in Russia during the height of the 1960s fascination with cosmic design. This exceptional piece was originally imported to Czechoslovakia, where it has been carefully preserved. Original label still visible on the bottom.
The lamp’s striking spaceship-inspired silhouette stands on three brushed aluminum tripod legs, supporting a black metal body that encloses the original glass lava tube. When illuminated, it emits a mesmerizing bright orange glow, creating a warm and futuristic ambiance.
All elements are original, including the period switch. The plug has been professionally adapted to meet modern EU electrical standards, ensuring both safety and usability. The lava flows perfectly, producing the iconic hypnotic movement that made these lamps an icon of mid-century modern design.
A true collector’s item from the Space Race era—rarely found in such excellent original condition and with a direct connection to Soviet and Czechoslovak design history.
