Vintage Table Lamp with Authentic Shade In Faience Longwy, France, 1970s
About the Item
Rare table lamp signed Longwy faience factory. This lamp is made of faience and decorated with enamels.
This handcrafted piece was made in France, in the 70s.
A night light or table lamp with a lampshade is suitable for additional illumination.
Provides soft lighting to create coziness in the room. Modern and sleek design, suitable for various interior styles.
Its compact size makes it ideal for a nightstand.
Famous for its powerful influence on the ceramics industry, the Boch family is at the origin of the foundation in 1798 of the Faïencerie de Longwy in a former convent.
Its production will gain in fame after the visit of the Emperor Napoleon 1st who will order in Longwy the table services intended for the Imperial Houses of the Legion of Honor. In 1835, the Huart family became the owners of the pottery and made it prosper throughout the 19th century.
The model is designed to use 2 lamps with a cap E27.
