A wonderful late 19th century Chinese Porcelain Lamp w. Rosewood Base

About the Item

This is a very good quality Chinese Porcelain Lamp. The painting despicts a Female with a Stag. Wonderful greenery surrounds the main images.The glaze is soft and there is a deep sheen thru which one can see the hand thrown porcelain. The date entered is a conservative estimate, the pot may be much older, based on the quality of the painting and glaze. The shade is a linen shade with hard liner, the finial is original to the lamp. It is my estimate that the porcelain pot was later converted into a lamp. All was done in a high end manner.
