Edo Landscape Japanese Folding Screen
Located in Brescia, IT
Refined work by a painter from the first half of the 19th century, from the landscape of the "Rinpa" school by a painter from the end of the 18th century, the Rinpa school.
Six panels painted in ink on gold leaf and "gofun" on vegetable paper.
The flowers are made with the "gofun" technique, natural or pigmented white oyster powder.
Rinpa is one of the major historical schools of Japanese painting. The style was consolidated by the brothers Ogata Korin (1658–1716) and Ogata Kenzan (1663–1743).
This folding screen has a very clean design that leaves plenty of room for the beautiful golden landscape.
It comes flat and you can easily hang it with our hooks.

Japanese Screen of Spring on Gold Leaf
Located in Brescia, IT
It is a two-panel screen from the Taisho period, around 1920, beautifully painted in excellent detail.
The best of Rinpa's school painting: large empty space that highlights a pair of mandarin ducks in the middle of the pond.
On the right, flying birds give the painting a great lightness, under many multicolored flowers they celebrate spring.
All very proportionate and pleasant, the dimension really interesting.
Mineral pigments on gold leaf. It turns out Anonymous.
Lucio Morini.

Opinion Ciatti Chaperon Small Coat Stand
Located in Brooklyn, NY
The meaning of the name derives from the figurative use of the word chaperon which means “hood”, but in worldly contexts it refers to those who introduce somebody into a new environment. And so does Chaperon the clothes hanger designed by Bruno Rainaldi, which on one hand will be used as a storage for hoods and coats, and on the other to place the clothes of the newcomers. Chaperon is essential and sophisticated at the same time. A "Classic" metal structure with a circular base and a rotating system, at the ends of which are placed small discs to easily hang the clothes. Mirrored discs that give a furtive view of what's behind us, the last undisturbed to prepare for what, once you take off your clothes, will be forced to face. Perfect in entrances, in the office or at the bar, and it is also suitable for a living room, in the bedroom, bathroom or in a walk-in closet.
Extremely sophisticated in finishes, in polished chrome or glittering 24-karat gold, it is available in the version with 6 mirrors...

Large German early 20th century silver and vermeil nef
German, Early 20th Century
Height 80cm, width 70cm, depth 19cm
This impressive sculpture of a nef was crafted by skilled German craftsmen in the early 20th century. Historically nefs were used to store spices and cutler on a dining table, but as their designs became more elaborate, they became purely decorative.
The hull of the piece is intricately cast with high relief depictions of cherubs, sea creatures, scrolls, and waves among many others. Various coats of arms are cast and engraved on the nef. The deck is filled with delicate vermeil figures undertaking various tasks. The wheels as well as the bow are gilt creating a superb contrast between the several tones of metals. All pieces of this nef are wonderfully crafted, with details such as the waving...
