A mirror of rare artistry and luminous sophistication, the Varenna is a study in light, depth, and the timeless allure of gilded glass. Handcrafted using centuries-old techniques, this exceptional wall mirror marries the brilliance of convex optics with the elegance of verre églomisé—creating a focal point that is as rich in craftsmanship as it is in beauty.
At the core of the Varenna is a convex mirror fabricated from 6mm low-iron glass, chosen for its extraordinary clarity and purity. The mirror's 8 cm curvature subtly distorts and enhances reflections, producing a radiant, spatially expansive effect that draws the eye and transforms the surrounding space.
The mirror is adorned with verre églomisé, a refined technique originating in France, in which the reverse side of the glass is meticulously gilded by hand with precious metal leaf. In this piece, we use 24-carat red gold leaf, delicately applied using a traditional gelatin adhesive that gives the surface a lustrous, mirrored finish. The result is a warm, glowing presence that changes with the light and elevates the mirror to the level of a sculptural artwork.
With a diameter of 120 cm, the Varenna is designed to create a dramatic statement in refined interiors. It is mounted using four discreet matching wall fixings, allowing it to appear as though it floats seamlessly from the wall, while providing structural integrity and ease of installation. The total projection from the wall is 8 cm, maintaining a sleek, architectural profile.

In addition to the 120 cm version, the Varenna is also available in 80 cm and 100 cm diameters, offering the same striking detail at a scale suited to more intimate interiors or grouped installations.
