About the Item
A fabulous Italian Barocco carved and gilt wood mirror from the turn of the 17th and 18th century. This antique pier mirror from Italy has a nice 9 inch thick surround, which has been elaborately carved in swirls of acanthus leaves beautifully twisting about the frame. The wood has a lovely old patina with traces of the original gilt finish found throughout. The mirror is old, but not original. This Italian Baroque mirror, with carved acanthus surround, stands approximately 7.5 feet in height and just over 3 feet in width- Bellissimo!.
