Very formal, robustly carved swags, acorns, festoons, columns, Laurel swags, acanthus , rosettes it is truly a most superb tours de force of skill and artistry.
A work of this great expanse of proportion , detail and grandeur would have been commission by only the most prominent of prominent families of the day.
At buyers request we will provide museum level re-gilding and conservation. Or you can choose to maintain the original finish and patina as seen here.
