About the Item

A very pretty pair of English Chinese Chippendale style girandoles, each crested with a well-carved eagle resting on a stylized foliate surround. The mirrors are decorated one with a figure of a woman and her child, the other with an exotically garbed man examining a length of cord. The carving is of very good quality typical of the period. These highly decorative mirrors add an exotic touch to whatever room they may be in. Significant regilding and minor repairs to each. Circa 1850 or earlier.
