A stunning and unusual 19th Century richly patinated walnut parcel gilt overmantel mirror of exceptional quality. The mirror glass plate of rectangular form is set within a finely hand carved moulded and fluted well figured walnut frame with parcel gilt detailing throughout. Surmounted with an overhanging stepped cornice featuring decorative finial detail above frieze with fabulous gilded geometric, beaded row and foliate raised over pair of decorative columns to each side with gorgeous striped gilded accents and applied flowerhead paterae motifs, supported on shaped platform base with ebonised detail.
