Designed and all handcrafted in the mid-1700s this work-of-art-wall-mirror stopped us dead in our tracks, because as conaisseurs and enthusiasts ourselves we see the difference between good and extraordinary and also between rare and unique. Although this unique mirror looks good in our photos, it is only when looking at this piece in person that one can truly take in the beauty of its design, of its striking details and of its marvelous patina. Apart from one minor restauration and some minor imperfections this Rococo frame is completely original and in excellent condition. Only the mirror has been replaced which makes this remarkable antique also highly practical to use. Judging from the paper label on the back this frame was once part of the collection of some institution. How the former custodians came to own it, we don't know (as so often is the case with our antiques), because we often purchase from the relatives to whom they were passed onto.
