Antique Renaissance Carved and Whitewashed Wood Mirror
About the Item
Antique Renaissance Carved and Whitewashed Wood Mirror is a glorious example of hand-sculpted artistry making it an exceptional choice for adding flair and ambiance to any room. The framework boasts neoclassical "bones" that have been lavishly adorned with surrounding foliate scrolls in a variety of expressions. Lavishly executed oval rosettes appear on each of the four corners, with rectangular rosettes midway on the frames left, right and bottom. The top, however, is embellished with a large circular rosette with acanthus crown creating a visual feast for the eyes. The framework is pierce-carved in this manner completely around the original beveled mirror, making this keepsake a great choice above a piece of furniture, on a fireplace mantel, or free-hanging anywhere it's needed. Painstakingly whitewashed by our expert in-house staff to accentuate the carved detail while still providing a soft, neutral visual effect, it stands poised to bring smiles to your family for generations to come!
