Fine Regency period gilt and ebonised overmantle mirror in the classical Federal taste; the original mirror plate with aged shadowy silvering, in a frame with an ebonised decorative motifs including lions, a central eagle, flanked by columns made of a cluster of spears and with sharpened tips; with a bold frieze and stepped cornice.
