About the Item
A finely crafted and distressed antique carved, gessoed and gilt over-the-mantel mirror in the classic three- part design. The mirror with a central panel flanked by a pair of square form mirror panels. The top and bottom surround bands with a center ribbed section flanked by flat ones with large leaf ends and matching side surround bands. Large carved rosettes decorate all the corners.
Dimensions: 60 1/2" wide x 28" high x 2 1/2" deep
Condition: Please review the detail photos. The Mirror is distressed with various signs of age and use include chips to the gilt on the left surround, upper left rosette, upper right rosette, sides and top edge. There is darkened gilt on the inner surround sand center bands and all over age craklure to the gilt finish. Despite the condition the mirror retains its magnificent presentation.
