About the Item
P0220 Superb XIXth century French giltwood mirror of versatile form, can be position horizontally or vertically, having original glass with characterful foxing in giltwood frame. The frame is decorated with scrolls and floral motifs to each corners and centre of the frame. This antique mirror retains its original glass with that desirable foxing, original gilt with red oxidation showing through and original patina. This outstanding mirror can be used as a floor standing leaner mirror / full length also as a pier mirror with a console table and as traditional wall mirror.
New backboards fitted with four wall fixing brackets. All in home ready condition. c1840
