Large Antique Gilt Carved Wood Overmantel Mirror, c.1900
A bold and decorative antique overmantel mirror with a substantial carved wood frame and later gilt finish. Dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period, the frame is adorned with incised stylised foliate and geometric motifs in a restrained neoclassical manner.
The bevelled mirror plate is a later replacement, sitting well within the frame and in excellent order. The back is panelled in pine with old handwritten script visible, and the mirror is fitted for wall mounting.

Good decorative condition. The gilt surface shows light wear and toning consistent with age. Structurally sound and ready to hang.
