Very Fine 19th Century Giltwood Leaner or Hall or Overmantle Mirror
About the Item
A very fine 19th Century giltwood leaner, hall or overmantle mirror of tall and narrow proportions. The slightly distressed, original bevelled mirror glass plate is set within a beautifully hand carved, moulded frame with foliate, ribbon and beaded motif detail, surmounted with pierced cartouche with scrolling ribbon and tied bow motif detail, elegantly hand carved in high relief, the platform base with further scrolling foliate to the sides.
