A Very Large George IV Gilded Overmantel Mirror
About the Item
A fine and exceptionally large George IV giltwood overmantel mirror. The water gilded frame is enriched with deeply carved stylised scrolling foliage and simple half round mouldings, all set below the boldly carved cornice. The gilded carving is enhanced with burnished highlights and to the back the substantial frame encloses a panelled back board.
