The reverse surface of the mirror is embellished with an impressive hot enamel panel depicting a ship sailing between colorful floral and foliate enveloped rock Formations to the foreground, with a town scene and mountain to the backdrop, signed with the initials 'DMC'. A magnificent, fine and impressive, large antique Edwardian English sterling silver cup & cover; an addition to our antique presentation silverware collection. This magnificent and large antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation cup and cover has a Campania shaped form onto a circular spreading pedestal foot. The lower bulbous portion of the silver cup is encircled with chased fluted ornamentation. Either side of the plain upper portion of the body of this cup is embellished with an exceptional and large applied ribbon tied laurel branch wreath, replicating the border of a classic cartouche. This impressive Edwardian presentation cup retains the impressive, original hallmarked push fit cover surmounted with an exceptional, fine and impressive cast sterling silver overlapping leaf and bud style finial. The rim of this substantial cover is encompassed with an impressive applied egg and dart decorated border. This antique cup and cover is fitted with two very impressive cast sterling silver handles modelled in the form of conjoined snakes, above a figural mask and Caduceus. The pedestal is encompassed with a shaped alternating leaf decorated knop to the upper portion in junction with the body. The circular domed spreading foot is encircled with a further band of chased fluted ornamentation. Such large examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver Reed and Ribbon pattern fruit/dessert cutlery set for twelve persons made by Mappin & Webb Ltd - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver fruit/dessert cutlery set consists of twelve knives and twelve forks. The blades of the knives have a rounded form and the forks each have four tines/prongs; the surface of each are plain and unembellished apart from the feature hallmarks. Each piece of this silver flatware service is fitted with the original hallmarked sterling silver handle, crafted in the Reed and Ribbon pattern; this pattern is also known as the Empire II pattern. Each handle is encompassed with a paralleling border of reed and tied ribbon decoration, terminating at the original sterling silver ferrules ornamented with plain embossed bands. Each knife and fork is fitted to the fine and impressive original hinged oak wood canteen box with a lift up lid and lift out tray. The interior of the box retains the original velvet lining. The interior of the cover bears a satin lining bearing the retailer's mark 'Mappin & Webb, 220 Regent Street, London'. This impressive canteen box is ornamented with a brass vacant shaped cartouche to the cover. Condition This antique boxed canteen is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The decoration is all very sharp. The original box has been polished by a cabinet maker and is in excellent presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each handle and blade, in addition to the reverse of each fork drop are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the superior gauge of silver. Splendid double sided hand mirror, European, 1900s.

Early 1900s Chippendale Mahogany wall mirror. Good condition with few signs of aging and wear appropriate with age. Measures 22"W x 45.5"H.

Wonderful antique Edwardian round bevelled edge table mirror, featuring classic sterling silver all over repousse decoration with flowers, leaves and scrolls. There is a plain centre cartouche to the front, and a hinged easel to the back. Mounted on a faded fabric reverse, which was originally blue velvet. Measuring height 24.5cm / 9.6 inches by width 20.2cm / 7.95 inches. The frame is stamped with an anchor, a lion, and the date letter is 'd'. The makers mark is HH&S for Henry Hobson & Sons. This means that the silver mirror is sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, England and is dated 1903. The mirror is in very good condition, the lovely silver frame has some denting and scratching. The reverse is in unrestored condition, and is very worn, it is slightly loose to the right of the mirror. The hinge works well. This beautiful and stylish antique silver mirror...
