About the Item

Very decorative set of a Gustavian demilune console table with white marble top and matching pier mirror, signed by one of the leading Stockholm makers Lars Magnus Thiem, (1782-1814). All in giltwood with dark green painted gesso decoration to simulate patinated bronze. The entire decoration in neoclassical style with two facing winged sphinxes, accanthus leaves, female masks, etc. The console table is free standing. Authentic and original condition with the old mirror glass and marble.
