Pair of Oval Mirrors in the manner of Robert Adam

About the Item

This pair of neoclassical style oval looking glass mirrors display all the hallmarks of Robert Adam. The oval mirror plates are contained within moulded frames carved with gadroons and beads divided by a fluted ground. The classical urn crestings with a spray of wheat ears and flowers rests upon gathered acanthus leaves with trailing garlands of husks uniting the urn handles and flowing through the leaf scrolls to each side and joining the sides of the frames. The aprons formed of double scrolling branches and leaves is decorated with paterae and supported by S shaped leaf sprays. We are currently working to a 30-36 week lead time.
