Large eyelash round sunburst mirror, gold gilt wrought iron, France, 1950s
Stunning large sized double layered eyelash gilt iron sunburst mirror with gold leaf finish.
The frame is made by alternating hand-hammered curved and straight rays in eyelash shape. The iron was covered with gold leaf that is still retaining a nice aged patina.
Manufactured at the Mid-Century Modern period it has Brutalist and Hollywood Regency accents in its design.
This beautiful mirror would be perfect in a powder room / bathroom, in an entry hall over a console table or placed in a bedroom. Stylish and elegant it will add a pinch of glam to any interior.
