19th century Swedish antique rustic vanity mirror / table mirror dated 1870.
The Mirror has nice carved details on the top
This orginal painted mirror has a drawer where comb, brush or other female accessories can be stored. The rural lifestyle in Sweden like the rest of northern Europe imitated the high society way of life in their own way. The "allmoge" people couldn´t afford expensive material such Mahogany so they painted with great skills their own pine or birch made objects like they were made with the more rare and exotics imported wood that noble and rich people could afford.
The wooden back is missing.
