About the Item

A handsome shaving mirror. Biedermeier revival, c.1870-90. Mahogany with satin mahogany, ebonizing and ebony paint; mahogany secondary. Obelisks support the original tilting mirror with original plate surmounted by a shaped frieze with classical harp and leaf sprays, over base with two long, narrow drawers. 20" w., 6 3/4" d., 24 1/2" h.
