About the Item
An early 18th century French giltwood mirror from the Régence period in the Baroque style. The arched rectangular mirror plate is set within a conforming molded frame carved with foliate scrolls on a lattice designed ground. Crowned by a military trophy, the frame moldings present slight bulges on the four corners and mounts as well as a scalloped apron, characteristic of the irregularities of the Baroque style. This French giltwood carved mirror circa 1715-1723 would enhance the most elegant of interiors while adding a touch of history and style to any room.
