François Lembo mirror, ceramic, jewel, gold, emerald green, black, signed. Small rectangular mirror, gold enamel, with inlaid jewel decoration. Signed F. Lembo with incised signature on back. A native of Vallauris, François Lembo began his career as a potter in 1951, working in the Calva and Rossignol workshops. After his apprenticeship and national service, he worked for 3 years in the studio of his father-in-law, Marc Roussel, before opening his own studio in Vallauris in 1960.
