About the Item
Charming, late 19th century Black Forest wall mirror out of Austria. Artfully handcarved out of basswood around 1890, the amazing frame shows unusual, elaborately crafted leaf patterns and slightly protruding corners. In line with the rustic Black Forest theme the frame shows a very dark brown surface which additionally enforces the fantastic design. The mirror glass has been renewed during the restoration process. The size of the visible mirror plate is 7" x 9.1". What a beautiful piece of a late 19th century rustic Black Forest mirror.
