This contemporary bevelled mirror is set in an antique walnut frame hand carved with a flowered trailing vine motif. Chosen for its rich color and open grain, walnut was the ideal wood for realizing the high level of workmanship characteristic of the Qing dynasty. A rich patina has developed over the years, bringing the frame’s intricate carving into beautiful relief.
