19th Century French Louis Philippe Two-Tone Red and Gesso and Gilt Wall Mirror
About the Item
Decorate an entry or a powder room with this elegant, antique mirror. Crafted in France, circa 1860, the rectangular wall piece has rounded corners and is embellished with decorative beads around the frame. The traditional Louis Philippe frame features a two-tone red and off white gesso finish over the original gilt finish, which gives the mirror a more contemporary, modern look. The timeless wall mirror, with the original mercury glass and wood backing, is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated painted finish with gold leaf accents. Natural aging spots on the glass. New wire on the back for easy handling and installation.
