19th Century French Louis XVI Carved Giltwood Oval Beveled Glass Wall Mirror
About the Item
Decorate a powder room or entryway with this elegant antique gilt wall mirror. Crafted in France, circa 1870, the beaded oval frame is decorated with a large cartouche at the pediment with floral motifs, torch decor and laurel leaf over the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow. The frame is further embellished with floral and leaf decor at the bottom. The large mirror with the original beveled mercury glass and wood backing, is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich patinated gold leaf finish throughout the frame.
