19th Century French Louis XV Carved Giltwood Overlay Cushion Wall Mirror
About the Item
Decorate a powder room or hallway with this elegant antique gilt overlay mirror. Crafted in Provence, Southern France circa 1860, the “Parclose” mirror features nicely carved floral and shell decor in high relief on each corner. The lovely frame is further decorated with intricate engraved foliage motif throughout. The rectangular cushion mirror, dressed with the original mercury glass and wood backing, is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a beautiful and rich patinated gold leaf finish. This eye-catching, decorative wall mirror would make a great addition in any entryway with its interesting shape and wonderful details!
