20th C. Neoclassical Style Giltwood Mirror with Cherub and Floral Decoration
About the Item
An attractive vintage pier/wall mirror that combines gilt-wood elements with the clean and refined lines championed in the neoclassical era. The carved frame features geometric patterns and motifs inspired by nature. The frame is simple and molded with an outer leaf motif and smaller inner geometric design.
The cartouche depicts a pair of winged cherubs holding baskets of fruit and flowers flanking a floral bouquet. The beveled mirror glass continues the crisp neoclassical aesthetic.
This is a handsome pier/wall mirror would look wonderful over a fireplace mantel, a dressing room or entryway.
