A very beautiful gold leaf Federal mirror attributable to Isaac Platt, with turned and carved pilasters framing original glass, New York City, circa 1820. Measure: 32 1/2" wide x 65 1/2" high.

  • Condition:
    Repaired: Minor elements were molded and recast in gesso in the restoration process. Nothing of consequence, only enough to complete motifs where necessary. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Gilding is not perfect but has not been painted with gold varnish. Original burnished gold leaf. Antique condition. Mirror is original. It has some distortion and is not perfect with minor silver losses in areas.
