Antique Georgian Period Parcel Gilt Mirror
About the Item
A stunning original antique Georgian period parcel gilt mirror. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1790-1810 period.
It is beautifully designed and of amazing quality. The frame has fantastic, crisp carving throughout, including an impressive eagle motif at the top, and shell inlay at the bottom. It also has plenty of parcel gilt that is naturally aged.
This is in lovely condition for its age, we have had the frame re-polished. There is plenty of patina and charm, with no real damage to be seen. There is also a little wear to the silvered backing of the mirror, which looks as if it is the original glass.
