Antique Italian Baroque Gold Leaf and Enameled Beveled Mirror
About the Item
Antique Italian baroque gold leaf beveled mirror, Italy, c. 1920's.
Magnificent wall mirror pairing both Florentine and Venetian styles. The frame is exquisitely carved having a unique "double layer" look creating depth and dimension with lots of intricate details. The inner border features ornate gilt wood and a diamond pattern over cream while the outer layer is a muted, soft teal with gilt detail. The mirror extends to the corners of the frame and is revealed beneath the gold leaf carved ribbon ivy swags giving it extra brilliance. The beveled, high quality glass is free of scratches or cracks.
This mirror has all the hallmarks of fine Italian craftsmanship and will elevate any room to a new level of sophistication. It is stunning.
