Antique Italian Mirror in wood gild from Via Crucis series

This splendid Via Crucis mirror from the 1700s, crafted in Italy, represents the Third Fall of Christ on His way to Calvary, as indicated by the inscription "Jesus falls the 3rd time" at the base of the frame. Every detail of this mirror, from the finely carved wood frame covered in gold leaf to the antique glass marked by time, invites reflection and meditation on Christ's sacrifice. The Baroque frame, with its rich and decorative details, is a testament to the skill of 18th-century Italian craftsmanship.
