This Art Deco wall mirror from Shanghai, China is framed in a fine hardwood valued for its tight grain and warm coloring. The influence of Western aesthetics in the early 20th century is apparent in the modern geometry of its deceptively simple frame, which features an arched top and finely beaded edges. A fresh mirror replaces the lost original.
