About the Item
Distressed 19th century gilt frame mirror
The gilt and gesso moulded frame is heavily distressed, with the loss of much of the gilding, the gesso with some losses too and greenish bole showing in places. We really like the look of this mirror for its condition in its totally untouched and unrestored state making a really unique decorative mirror. The plate is modern and without foxing. Wired to be hung portrait but could easily hang in landscape orientation too, we can re-wire it for you if you wish.
