Early 19th Century French Giltwood Mirror


This gorgeous mirror reflects perfectly what a French Restauration (1815-1830) period mirror should be: Wooden frame with water gold gilt decor alnernatively high and low sheen and ornated by gesso molded and gilded flowers on all four corners.Original glass mirror protected by its wooden back. Rare-pencil- signature on the wooden back: "Dufour",the numbers next being illegible.
