Narrow Early 19th Century French Restauration Period Giltwood Mirror
About the Item
This early nineteenth century French Restauration period gilt wood mirror features its original mercury glass. The frame is detailed with palmettes, scrolling, rosettes, and oak leaves at the corners, and an inset border of rais-de-coeur surrounds the mirror. Measuring 44 inches in height with only a 17.75 inch width, this narrow mirror would be ideal at the end of a hallway or between two windows. c. 1820.
