About the Item

This pair of French Restauration period walnut armchairs from the early nineteenth century features scrolling arms and gently curved legs. The back legs are flared "en sabres", or like sabers in English, and are contiguous with the gently sloping back. The rich patina of the solid walnut frame boasts a warm glow.
