Fine Georgian Antique Carved And Gilt Tiered Mirror
About the Item
A striking and elaborate Georgian mirror with Bird Crest. English ca. later 18th c. A cartouche shaped mirror with scrolled foliate outside and inner surrounds. With a three-dimensional phoenix bird crest and small attached curved shelves on the surrounds for display of porcelains.
H. 59 1/2", W. 30", Depth 3 1/2"
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are various signs of age including age dulling to the gilt finish, chip to the right upper edge, expected oxidation to the mirror glass. The aforementioned is for accuracy as the presentation, despite the aging, remains astonishing.
