A native of Vallauris, François Lembo began his career as a potter in 1951, working in the Calva and Rossignol workshops. After his apprenticeship and national service, he worked for 3 years in the studio of his father-in-law, Marc Roussel, before opening his own studio in Vallauris in 1960. Gilded ceramic decorative wall mirror by François Lembo (circa 1960s-70s). Porthole-shaped ceramic frame embellished with colourful enamelled cabochons in green and black, imitating natural stones. The piece is in overall very good condition. Its appeal and beauty are unquestionable. The reverse side of the piece is intact and also in good condition with a small fitting for wall hanging.
