Substantial French 19th century gold gilt wall mirror with classic patterns in the molding, from a gadrooned edge, to a ribbon twist, to beaded texture creating strong visual interest around the rectangular frame. Patches of red bole substrate peek through the gilding for subtle definition and warmth in tone. Mirror glass is likely a replacement, without the expected crystals and foxing of originals.
