French Art Deco /Moderne/ Modernist mirror in hand forged iron with decorative openwork design. Fine martele hammering combines an oval/ racetrack shape atop a rectangular shape making this piece truly unique.
A stepped design flanks the sides and bottom, while the original beveled mirror exudes a timeless appeal and adds a touch of charm to this looking glass.
This cubist and streamline hand -hammered mirror in a silvered gunmetal, pewter tone, captures the spirit of the 30's and could create a magnificent accent to any home decor.
Can be used with Contemporary design, in a chalet, country home, farm house, Brooklyn loft , Modern home, Industrial setting, Italian design, midcentury space, Arts & Crafts, Mediterranean home or anywhere a statement is warranted.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. In fine condition w/ original antique mirror having several small darker spots, and speckles, a few larger ~1 inch thin lines, some perimeter wear at beveled edge, all slightly noticeable and due to de-silvering and age. Iron frame in good condition.

Very Long /Wide French Art Deco Silvered Wood, Nickeled Bronze + Brass Mirror

An original French Art Deco long, wide and rectangular, silver over wood
wall mirror with slightly curved top, fluted sides and angular accents of nickel and brass.
The highly decorative ziggurat, sky scraper, stylized representation on the bronze mounts flanking each side and center distinguish this highly imposing mirror.
The mirror features an overall authentic geometric expression with a period mirror inset. The inset shows some very small age spots on the glass which add to the mirror's charm and character.
Since we cannot photograph the mirror due to it's reflection, I would approximate a total of ~35 tiny desilvered spots ranging in size from 1/4" maximum on ~ 5 spots, to miniscule in size on the remaining dots.
Slightly rubbed/ mottled finish on the nickeled over bronze mounts with a satin finish on the wood, as shown in pics.
