French Rococo Style Carved & Gilt 4.75 Ft Tall Mirror, 19th C.
About the Item
A French Rococo style carved and gilt wood mirror from the 19th century. This antique mirror from France has been designed in the ornate fashion of Rococo style, with a beautifully pierce-carved scrolling acanthus leaf surround, and shell at bottom center. The wood and gesso has a bronze/gold finish. Note that the antiquing of the mirror near the top has an almost swag pattern (as can be seen more closely in the additional images). This 19th century French mirror, standing approximately 4.75 feet in height, would make a wonderful overmantel or entry foyer mirror.
