About the Item
Wonderful rare oval wall mirror / frame, in well known classic shape, of the Biedermeier period, made around 1860 in Austria, Europe.
The special stucco work all around the frame in a floral design make this object an extraordinary piece.
This object consists of a spruce substructure, the half bars are hand-gilded with washed gold and the stucco ornaments are covered with leaf metal.
The mirror is in impressive good condition, only the mirror plate has been renewed to enable it to be used.
The back has been sealed with paper and to allow for easy wall mounting there is a hand forged metal ring - if you want portrait or landscape we can change the mounting to your liking.
Very nice object, also rare because of the beautiful condition and oval form, an original of the famous austrian Biedermeier period.
