About the Item
Wonderful wall mirror from the Biedermeier period, around 1850/60, made in Austria, Europe.
The mirror is in impressive good condition, only the mirror plate has been renewed to enable it to be used.
This gilt mirror, circa 170 years old, has impressive stucco work in the corners and in the middle of the bars.
This object consists of a spruce substructure, the half bars are hand-gilded with washed gold and the stucco ornaments are covered with leaf metal.
The back has been sealed with paper and to allow for easy wall mounting there is a hand forged metal ring - if you want portrait or landscape we can change the mounting to your liking.
Very nice object, an original of the famous austrian Biedermeier period.
