About the Item
Very decorative table mirror / makeup mirror with swivel mechanism, an original of the Biedermeier peroid, around 1850, made in Austria.
The corpus is made out of root ash, a very rare type of wood with a wonderful grain - a very special appearance. The mirror plate was on the back closed with a maple board. Since this object is very elegantly designed (also on the back), it is possible to set up the mirror in an all-viewable manner.
The wood was polished by hand with shellac and the mirror plate was renewed in the past.
With the swivel mechanism, you can bring the mirror into the perfect alignment that suits you.
