About the Item
Very early Josefine wall mirror, frame, wonderfully decorated in the style around 1790/1800, made in Austria.
The frame has additional edges at the corners to emphasize the shape. The entire front is wonderfully decorated with floral and graphic inlays, some of which are fired to create a further visual effect.The substructure is made of spruce, the front is made of walnut, maple and cherry wood.
Typical for this early period, the frame has a plugged substructure. A metal hanger is available for immediate wall mounting. The mirror plate was renewed around 1920/30.
Measurements approx.: height 25,59 in - 65 cm, width 19,88 in - 50,5 cm, depth 1,18 in - 3 cm.
A highly decorative piece, an original from around 1790/80, made in Austria.
